"What Would Happen If Life Was a Musical" - New Article From Miss Ginger Devine

In her most recent article, manager Miss Ginger Devine, comments on what life would be like if it were a musical. She discusses that question while pointing out the cultural and societal importance of musicals and how they have and will continue to define society fo generations to come. Read a shot passage from the article and get a full copy of it in our press room.

In my experience, musicals are an artistic forum to satirically comment on society and life. Whether they are commenting on the social injustices of homophobia, racism, or sexism or educating viewers about HIV/AIDS musicals work to form community and allow audiences to share in a common experience. Musicals have the uncanny ability to point out the ridiculousness of life and allow audiences to laugh at themselves while at the same time highlighting the trials and tribulations that life often throws in our direction as well.
