They are also Reno's silliest family, and they promise to keep you laughing all night long. Their show features 90 minutes of hard-hitting improv comedy in the style of Whose Line Is It Anyway that will keep audiences entertained all night. You can catch The Utility Players in their 5th Season: The Field of Dreams Tour, every 2nd Thursday of the month at the beautiful Pioneer Underground in downtown Reno. Working at Mirth is a photo-journalistic project with photographer Matthew Lahti...nen. The principle objective is to capture the emotional journey of individuals, working as a team, striving to achieve a goal. The Utility Players will be the focus of the work, concentrating on three main areas: personal lives, the creative process, and performances. The idea was proposed by Matthew Lahtinen on April 16, 2011, and documents the lives of the players beginning just a few days later. Short essays in blog style will be published along with the photos at www.utilityplayerscomedy.com. Members of the Utility Players dressed up as characters from Super Smash Bros, and had an epic battle on the lawns of University of Nevada-Reno's campus.

The utility players performed - along with a number of other local artists and performers - at the 2nd Annual MADE IN RENO - a fundraiser for the Washoe County School Music Program. The event raised close to $7800 for the district
