Reno-Tahoe's funniest family is back for another hilarious season inside their very own theater at Sands Regency! Season 11 runs Saturday nights, 8pm, from February through April 2016.
The Utility Players first hit the stage in February of 2009 in a small theater on 4th Street in Reno. The Utility Players, Reno-Tahoe's #1 Comedy Show, is looking to take on a marketing intern to help expand its reach! The show is getting ready to launch its 11th Season, which will run 13 weeks beginning in February, inside their very own theater at Sands Regency. The in-house marketing team at the Sands is FANTASTIC, and the troupe is searching for someone who can help expand its reach outside the casino.
OBJECTIVE: The Marketing Intern will be responsible for assisting the organization in the development and implementation of its marketing, business development, and public relations plans. This will be accomplished through developing, maintaining and expanding marketing channels/methodologies to the casino we perform in, the entertainment market in the Reno-Tahoe area, and the public at large. QUALIFICATIONS: - Positive/low-maintenance attitude, flexible "yes, and" nature, and a spirit for live theater - Some kind of passionate and creative experience in the marketing field - Must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a goofy environment - Must have excellent interpersonal skills and follow- up skills - Proactive problem prevention and issue resolution leadership ability - Leadership potential - Proficiency in Photoshop or other design programs - Must have an understanding AND passion for social media, including Twitter and Facebook - Must be able to write excellent press releases, and have a stellar understanding of grammar - Must have a love of research - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Must be able to meet deadlines, even though the improvisers never can... The comedy troupe joined forces with the casino for the same murder mystery twice in the past with great success, and they’re planning to host it again, this time as an official Artown event. “We are excited to join forces with The Utility Players for our 3rd Murder Mystery Dinner Theater show.
